I am very much an amateur photographer, and I love the chance blogging gives me to develop my skills in this area on behalf of my clients. Which means sometimes I get it wrong.
Check out this London Drugs blog article to see my latest lessons learned.

In this post, I wrongly assumed the Certified Data logo was square. I took the photo before getting the logo—which you can see on the card tucked into the cereal, is very very horizontal. Sigh.
I put a black piece of card in the dry cereal, because my vision was to put the logo on it later in Photoshop and have the image be a cheeky reference to the written piece (wherein I mention cereal.)
Lessons learned are:
- to have take a safety shot of the cereal without the card in it.
- to gather all the elements first and THEN shoot the photo.
If you visit the blog post, please leave a comment, especially if you have an opinion about photography or cereal.

i AM a fan of cereal, though selectively. photography is also an interest. i have had occasion to fuse the two as well… with different, messier results. should you ever want to brainstorm or experiment you’re welcome to my amateur photo gear.

Thanks Mel! You do some pretty cool in-camera photography that I look forward to picking your brain about.
